As a whole, this session is different than our Event (or Corporate) Chair Massage for several reasons; you can choose between the traditional table or chair, and spa elements are included alongside the massage. It's our best service to pamper yourself and your friends!
How's It Done?
Our Intimate Massage Spa Party is designed to pamper a small group of women or men for approximately 4 1/2 hours. With a maximum of 8 people, the potential for massage is roughly 15-25 minutes per person. Post-massage, every individual receives the spa element. Guests may sit, drink, enjoy music, and mingle in the space while awaiting their turn.
*At an additional charge, we can contract another LMT for twice the fun! This will increase massage and spa time for each person. Massage time will vary depending on the amount of persons; no more than the maximum, and the price will not waiver.*
Here's an example of the event flow: Person 1 will lie/sit on the table/chair and receive a scalp, head, face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and slight upper back massage. After, Person 1 will sit at the post-treatment station as the LMT disinfects the table/chair. Person 2 will situate on the massage table/chair while the LMT wraps Person 1’s neck in a hot towel, and places cucumber slices on their eyelids. Person 2 receives the same steps as Person 1; once the towel is cold, Person 1 discards towel/cucumber and proceeds to Paraffin Treatment. Person 3 gets situated on the massage table, Person 2 is wrapped with a hot towel/given cucumber, and Person 1 is being led through the Paraffin Treatment. After they peel the Paraffin, Person 1 is done and free to mingle. Rinse, Repeat!
What's Paraffin?
When applied to the skin, Paraffin Wax adds moisture and continues to boost moisture capability. It is a natural emollient, a mineral oil, and can help open pores and remove dead skin cells.
The therapeutic benefits are numerous. Pain relief can be found with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Paraffin decreases stiffness and swelling, increasing circulation, mobility, and flexibility. It has been found to minimize muscle spasms and inflammation, as well as treat sprains.
With a low melting point, the chance for burn or blister injury is minimal. If you have sensitive skin, there is the chance of heat rash (small, itchy, red bumps). Paraffin has petroleum products; those with chemical sensitivity should use caution. Individuals with the following conditions should NOT use Paraffin: low blood circulation, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy (numbness in hands/feet), and/or any rash or open sores.
Hot Towel Treatment
Many of us love a good, hot towel; what's the science behind it? A Hot Towel Treatment can benefit you differently depending on where you place it.
On the face or chest, a HT can relieve sinus pressure and congestion associated with allergy or illness, along with opening pores and softening skin. Inhaling the steam itself can open nasal passages, loosen mucous, and relieve inflammation.
Applying a HT on the torso lessens muscular tension, soreness, and induces relaxation. When moving onto the limbs, using a HT will have the same effects as the torso along with a decrease of joint stiffness and pain, and increase of circulation.
For the LMT, using a HT on a client allows the therapist to work on the deeper layers of muscle with ease. Heat penetrates and 'melts' muscle, aiding the LMT in their job.
Cucumber Slices & Robes?
A few of the features of our Intimate Massage Spa Party are unique to this selection. Guests will be given robes to change into while the LMT is setting up the space. Some lubricant will be used unless declined by the individual. Rose petals will be laid, drinking flutes set out with music, and a diffuser prepped with an essential oil. The last touch? Fresh cucumber slices for ultimate relaxation. During the Hot Towel Treatment, the LMT will place a slice on each eyelid.
Cucumber slices on the eyelids aren't just a movie myth; they reduce puffiness and inflammation, tighten pores, hydrate the skin, provide a cooling sensation, and create a glow, eliminating dark circles.
It's up to you if you make it a snack afterward!
